Mine does that too but the sparks go out in a few seconds. Not like yours continuous. I think with brushed motors there’s some sparks and brushless there isn’t. Brushed motors don’t last as long as brushless motors either. My Ryobi is brushless and no sparks at all and my Dewalt is brushed and sparks and smells, I just got it so maybe I have to break it in a bit. I got a combo drill and impact and they both do the same thing.

This is an incandescent light. The other two types are halogen and LED. I like halogen better, because it fades on. And LED just instantly comes on.
